Webb Lower School

Hedstrom Design has worked for the Webb School of Knoxville on various projects since 2007.  This latest project transformed a low lawn area that captured and drained water from surrounding areas into a popular outdoor classroom space.  A large “island” classroom, with occupancy for up to 20 students, sits above the meandering dry creek.  A smaller reading room provides a space for a few students to study or read together.  Shade trees and ornamental trees provide a well distributed canopy over the space for comfort and protection.

Hedstrom Design received an Honor Award from the American Society of Landscape Architects Tennessee Chapter for the Webb Lower School
